Hello all my good friend and members of Planet Figure. I finished this beautiful figure from Pegaso at 54mm ,from one of my favorites sculptors Maurizio Bruno. Excellent piece which was more than fun to build and paint. Painting is done all in oils with enamel undercoating. Here are the pictures waiting for your comments and critique.

Top stuff Xenofon. I do fancy this one myself. Please tell me, how did you find painting the face with the helmet in the way?

cheers, all the best!

Ahhhhh Xenofon, you have done a top notch job on this figure by Maurizzo. Lot's of color and you have tied it all in together well. Good job! (y) (y)

Thank you all for your kind words. I really appreciate your comments, which encourage me to do better and better.
Anthony to be honest with you, I didn't really encounter any serious problems with the helm and the face. Unfortunately the photos are not very clear to so my actual work.

Thanks a lot Peter for you kind comments. For the jacket: I undercoated it with Humbrols No 30. Then I used Van Gogh oil called phthalo green and I applied it in the whole jacket, leaving just a very think layer. Then with Black and white depending on how deep I wanted the shadow or Light the highlights, passed all the points needed highlights and shadows and blended accordingly.

Dear Xenofon, thanks. I read your technique, sounds very similar to mine. What I often do though, is shade green with a deep shade of red - the shadows are much deeper.

Have an experiment and see if you like it....you never know

take care mate!

Thanks a lot Jay you comments are really appreciated.
Anthony, I will try the deep red next time I will come across greens. Thanks for sharing your technique.

I always liked dragoond though Napoleonics is not my piece of cake !! This one is a nice work with color works. Metals have worked nicele. Only one nitpicking on the base (u know my sensitivity) The leaves distribution is too even on the surface and thats not happening in reality . LOL
Good work my man , ure improving

Thanks a lot for your comments Artur.
Costas my friend I think you are right about the base. I will short it out as you told me. Thanks pal.

Many thanks Stefano. Your comments really make me feel good. Ohh another 90mm Napoleonic from Metal Modeles. I have already the Husssar at 90mm. I can't wait for that release.
Take care Stefano and keep up your incredible work.

Just seeing this one now. :)

Excellent work on the greens and the tans. Looks like a fun one to paint. After seeing yours, I think I'll add to my gray army. (y)
