Hi jimmy, many thanks for your comments,I'm glad you can feel an association with your own experience to this project.Hi Brian, really nice project, it takes me back, I attended a church service by 3 Para's Padre, held in a passage way on HMS Intrepid the night before we landed on the Falklands, as we were stepping into the unknown, I thought it best to sort things out.
Many thanks Joe,glad you liked itYou are one creative fellow !

Hi Ron,thanks for the kind comments,I love using plaster board for modeling buildings and masonry,it cuts easy with a Stanley knife,it can be shaped / sanded / scribed really easily,it's perfect for what I want and it's cheap,it takes primer and model paint very well.Mama Mia where did you geta that Idea
Interesting take on the plaster board Brian, IE stripping off the paper , do you know you can get it in 9mm as well as 12
Im gonna try that
Ron

Many thanks Barrie for your support and kind comments,as for the ideas I can't awnser that,I read a lot and watch lots of documentrys on war and history,I just try to do something different with every project,I'm already thinking of the next one which will be a Waterloo theme ready for next years anniversary.Great job on this as always Brian. Where on earth do you keep getting the ideas from?
Barrie

Hi Ben,many thanks for your comments,I have turned the bust slightly to allow more light and I will take photos looking up into the face, before the final fitting after painting I plan to take a series of photos of the bust 360 degrees of all the painting.Nice idea for this bust, its a great kit and needs some pretty specific painting to bring out the fear in his face, but I am sure you can handle that. The diorama is something special, just make sure you can see enough of the busts face to bring out the emotion
Ben
Many thanks nick,I've been asked many times about the ideas I use,I can't put my finger on it to be truthful,I always set out to do something different with each piece,it wasn't hard with this piece as the pose has him praying,so it was an obvious choice to do a chapel backdropBrilliant idea as always, Brian. I love how you never settle for painting a figure (and your painting is top notch), but create a story using the base too.
