Nice casual pose and well modelled (y)

Perhaps the bearskin (bonnet-a-poil) seems a little too short and bulky (although later versions do seem to have bulked out... see late C19th pic below and modern UK Guardsman).

See: Uniform of the Grenadiers-á-Pied de la Garde: 1810-1815

The print is contemporary and all others show genuine items (last is an officer's, so taller).

Also note the changed shape of the 1804/6 and 1811 models (as they lasted 20 years both would be in circulation in the later period):

Hi,

Don't get me wrong: other than the bearskin I think this is a great sculpt.

Paul Dawson's article (sorry, the link doesn't work: the correct one is below) says:

The 1801 dress regulations stated that the bonnet was to be 352 mm tall, and 231 mm wide, the back patch to be 162 mm in diameter, the cordon to be 921 mm long, the tassles to be 88 mm long, and the raquettes to measure 115 mm deep by 74 mm wide.

The later (1811) version had a more rounded, bell shaped top.

See: Uniform of the Grenadiers-á-Pied de la Garde: 1810-1815 (napoleon-series.org)

To my eyes, the Hecquet illustration also shows a taller profile?

For comparison: the musket barrel should be 1.1m (overall 1.4m), so that gives a sense of scale.
