A Fixture
Hi folks,
I'm working now the H&V Corporal, 19th Indiana Infantry Regiment (75mm) and did a research on the Hardee hat. The figure is depicting the hat pinned up on the right side which I thought is the wrong side. Looking at pictures depicting IB infantry soldiers I noticed that the hat was pinned on both sides. Majority are pinned up on the left side but there are soldiers wearing the hat pinned up on the right side. Looking at the pictures, it seems that both situations are correct. Do you have additional references which can clarify this aspect?
I extended my research on the haversack trying to find out if the IB regiments numbers were painted/printed on it. I couldn't find any credible references. I would appreciated all the help that I can get.
I noticed that the figure has 2 bottoms sculpted on the collar. In the uniform pictures I didn't observed any bottoms on the collar, so those 2 will be removed. In rest, the figure is very, very well sculpted.
Thanks a lot for your help!
Cheers,
Zeno
