Here is a small project I'm doing while finishing the imperial guard .

It's a bust produced by MMM depicting the late actor James Booth as Private Henry Hook at the battle of Rorkes Drift from the classic movie 'Zulu'

I've always loved the film,so it was'nt a big decision for me to purchase the bust at figureworld last Saturday, the only thing that did'nt appeal to me was the sculptors omission of the whole right arm,I chose a spare right arm from my spares box and converted it with some cutting and fold sculpting to match up to the main body.
In the movie James booth is seen leaning his head against the wooden post,so I altered the angle of the head to show it leaning against the pos as in the picture below.

I chose to remove the sculpted neckerchief so I could alter the head angle,I will now resculpt the neckerchief.
By using the new arm,I will need to add the cuff insignia from wire which I will do at the next sitting.
The shaft of the spear I removed and added a new one using wire and plastic rod.

In the movie,James booth's right upper sleeve gets torn during the battle,I've added this feature with some magic-sculp

The post is a piece of balsa profile.

Brian, Great composition and upgrade of the kit - he looks just right now. If I remember right this photo is from the last scene of the movie when Richard Burton is narrating all the VC winners. It's all classic stuff but I love that bit especially.
Does the hand and spear come with the kit then but not the arm?
Cheers
Mat
