As an impecunious student every summer their was
something called 'Jazz in the Park'. Imagine....warm
summer evenings. a glass of beer, pretty girls, and
Harry Strutter's Hot Five.........what a gas !! (Of course
you have to be of a certain age....brown knees, so forth)

I like many kinds of music but the mainstays (especially when painting) are Metal ( classic, power,NWOBHM),hard rock (from Pumk to Glam),Bluegrass,Neo-folk (e,g Wardruna,Omnia etc) and bands that really defy categorization or can fit into multiple categories (e.g Sopor Aeturnus,The Builders and the Butchers,Volkolak).Pop is pretty much excluded unless we are talking about some Mega Names from the 80's (Claus Nomi and the like)

Really nice, eclectic taste. Love the Builders and the Butchers self-titled album (especially Bringing Home the Rain and Black Dresses) - Wardruna and Danheim are great as well. Back in the day Amon Amarths "Versus the World" was my favourite album ever, though my taste softened a bit in recent years.
