Hi Gary,

I know a winner when I see one and this is definately IT!!!!!!!
Keep up the good work and don't forget to ENJOY THE PROCESS

cheers,

Calvin

Joe, Thanks a lot. I know we've spent hours talking about this and other projects, I appreciate your support.

Stephen, No need to apologize, I'm glad you enjoyed looking at it. Thanks for the kind words.

Calvin, Thanks. As an admirer of your work that means a lot. Enjoying the process is very important, and I know when I'm enjoying it. I have sometimes found that I was happier with the final results of a project when the subject was one I normally would have little or no interest in.~Gary

This is the completed bust with the extra material on the bottom removed and worked into the bottom of the bust.

Another view. I'm going to spray some primer on the bust so the little pits and tool marks will be easier to clean up.

The primer helps not only in cleaning it up, but in seeing the project in a different light. I used 2-3 different materials on him and sometimes it's hard to see if I've gotten the results I wanted.

The one thing I wanted to do is add some texture to the skin. I've experimented but have not yet found a way that looks good.

Guys, Thanks, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out, the face was my main concern. While it may not be the best likeness of Karl, bug given my references I'm thinking it might be close. It was a fun project one day I'll try a full 1/9 figure.~Gary
