Knight Models: Marvel/dc Miniature Question?

Hi

I was wondering if anyone knew what was happening with the 70mm Marvel/DC range from Knight Models?

Up until July 2012, the releases for the Marvel line were pretty consistent averaging about 8 per year. The DC range (not movie or 30mmm) launched early in the year and had 3 releases by July. However there hasn't been a release in either range since then (6 mths).

I can see that their 30mm Arkham City range and 70 mm Lord of the Ring ranges have been quite successful since July....

Does anyone know if they have any future plans re Marvel/DC 70mm? I've become a fan of this painting this genre and would hate to see them go the same way as the Star Wars license and just suddenly get pulled? I have sent them messages on their Facebook page, but unfortunately have had no reply...

From what I have heard (and not officially) Knight Models have let the liscenses for Marvel and Star Wars go and will not be doing any more from these lines. As for the DC lines, I have not heard any news on these. Its a shame as I was a fan of the Star Wars line and was looking forward to doing more of these

I knew about the Star Wars line, but hadn't heard about Marvel. I'd assumed something was up but unlike Star Wars(which they pulled off their online store same time they announced no license), they are still selling Marvel which makes me think that they still have the license?
It'd be a shame, as without the 70mm Marvel, DC, and Star Wars line (which I bought everything they have released to date), the rest of their products don't currently interest me.
Just hope they are just on hiatus and will release some amazing models in the new year....or maybe I'm just delusional

Just as a heads up...KM got back to me indicating that whilst the 35mm range for Arkham City is their current focus, they intend to release more 70mm Marvel in the future.

No time frame but good news for fans of that genre!
