A rather heavily converted Historex figure depicting a Corporal Sapper from the 4th Regiment Entrangier in the 1930s.

Thanks all for watching and thanks to Stefan for the printed lower legs.

He looks exactly like a carousing legionaire, a credit to your skills and patience. My own modelling is currently on a back burner I have developed a respiratory problem and am currently awaiting various tests which hopefully will get to the root of it.

Thanks Malkie, can't have soldiers being serious all the time, it would be so out of character!

Sad to hear your health has taken a knock, hopefully it will be resolved with a happy conclusion soonest.

I have come to the conclusion that going to see the doctor is bad for ones health, we always come away with another problem, or is that just age?

He's come out rather smashing, I like how it has come together and a mighty fine paint job. Being a continental he drinks by the litre not weedy pints! ;)
Melanie
Many thanks Melanie, the last minute changes of pose certainly put a breath of life into him.
Yes the tankard is a little large, a Pheonix piece I believe. Recently been in Belgium a lot, there the beers come in 25 or 33 centelitres, mind it is about 8% proof!

An interesting and very different subject, I really like the pose (and added beer!). Nice work all round (and khaki is a lovely colour to paint...... 😁 )

Aw, a liter is perfect! Anything smaller is for girls, or for the Breis'n, gell (when I lived in Munich, we used to call the Halbe, the .5L, a "Preussenmass").

A great piece, Simon! And as always, it has been fun to follow along with you as you built and finished him. Now I'm looking forward to your "Heavy Metal" finish, and whatever you turn to next!

Prost!

Thanks Brad, yes a litre seems a much more sensible quantity, the best bit though is the variety of different brews as you move around the country.

Though sadly I'm off all booze at the moment, trying to shed a few pounds or kilos before my hip op. I'll save it all up to aid my recovery!
