Probably one of the many Nuts planet Shield maidens to grace this site. Painted in acrylics with oil paint washes on the metals. My first female figure and by far my most challenging. After 8-9 hours on the flesh tones, she still niggled me she was a bit too "pink". So a couple of thin washes of Jo Sonya fawn later, I was satisfied. Anyone doing this kit, be aware of the fit issue with mating the sling strap with the shield buckles. Its not much, just enough to easily miss. Overall a superb kit.

Thanks for the comments chaps. Yes Wayne, the base is a bit too big as I made the mistake of getting it before the kit. It's making it a logistical nightmare to transport to shows but the height does make it stand out.
Joe the wood work on the inside of the shield was done with Lifecolour's wood paint set. Its taken me a while to figure out, but by using thin washes of the various colours it builds up to a very realistic appearance. By varying the order of which colour goes on when, you can have all sorts of different timber variation.
