History

The Siege of Laghouat was an episode of the French pacification of Algeria. General Joseph Yusuf commanding an army besieged the city of Laghouat in November 21, 1852. On December General Aimable Pélicier arrive with a second army, the decisive storming of the city occurred in December 4 and the French captured the city.

The story

On December 4th, Comandant Etienne Hugues Rose (Yusuf army), lead the « bataillon des tirailleurs d’Alger et Titteri » (native troop), agains the bulwarks of of the city.

The vignette

A 1/24 (75 mm) three figures, (full scatchbuilt including weapons and ladder), representing the Cdt Rose and two of his men climbing rocks towards walls.
