Landsknecht question

Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice. I have the opportunity to paint the Landsknecht pictured below.

I have not found full examples of the puffed sleeves and my question is, Would they be all of one color or could they be of alternating colors as in the two examples below.

I figure that with the high number of history buffs and artists that PF has there should be some that could hazard a guess or provide some definitive information.

Hello Kevin!Try to get a look in the following book:Vladimir Douchkine.There are many superb painted landsknechts in flats/30 mm.

Kevin,
My understanding was that the sleeves were too restrictive to sword fighting, and so they slit the sleeves and sewed extra material into the slits to add more flexibility. Therefore the inner material could be anything handy at the time.
