Hi Guys

That's an amazing piece of sculpting , intrigued as why not resin ,going to be a real show stopper when painted so hope we do see a version

Good the table is resin , thought it might be 75mm rather than 90mm

Just hope there's not a bust version !!!....LOL

Thanks for sharing

90mm because I like this scale)
Metal - because most of my clients from old school)) They like metal hand made figures not resin or 3D

There is no question that this is a fantastic piece of work. Your clients are lucky. It's more more commercially viable in a small scale, but I'm assuming the makers know this. Hats off, it really is great.

This is beautiful! I am really tempted, but it would take me years to finish it. Fantastic work and yes I am an old school metal fan which makes it very tempting.

Brought this one up again because a rather special Italian movie has
been released - it's called Io Leonardo - a visually stunning piece of
work it is too ! If anyone is seriously thinking of painting these figures,
then it could provide some serious inspiration. Seek out the trailer if you're
interested...... meanwhile here are some stills

I'd love to buy/paint this but, though being a huge metal fan and go to Graspop every year, in figure painting metal isn't my favourite.....furthermore this will be a limited production and, looking at my hobby-wallet there's no 600 there....

You're right Alan....... it's indeed beautifully filmed and worth waiting for the DVD. As for the figures Hans, you're right too......it would be a massive commitment in both money and time - not to mention space in the display cabinet - thirteen 90mm figures in a row. Still, when I saw the trailer the idea of painting these as da Vinci's posed studio group rather than the finished fresco, did stir the old creative juices. This one has become something of a dilemma for me.

Yep, I know the feeling..nice offer Andrey but though I have been in the banking business for 35+ years never bought anything accept my house on installment. I have my Hobby-wallet which is too small but there's always a moment to say no.....and......as said.....the material (metal ) scares me too.
But....just curious....what are the measurements (and the weight....) of this masterpiece ?

The whole DIO weighs about 5.5 kg, the length and width of the table is 33 * 5 cm

Roman does not seek to profit in this diorama! He has several more such works! For example, the diorama "Crucifixion of Christ"! The same 90 mm metal!
That's great but when one makes a masterpiece like this making it available to more people to enjoy the paintwork and the completed set would give pride to the artist i.m.h.o. So, if profit is not the goal why not produce more (in resin) so the price can be lowered since selling more would lower the productioncosts and make a lòt of us very, very happy.
I do understand Roman fully but knowing a lot of hobby-friends would love to have this would surely make me a proud sculpter/artist.
I know this is a very bad example when skills are compared but.....we all know Paul McCartney, one of our top composers and musicians, a many-times-millionaire, 77 years of age and.....touring again...not for the money but for his fans. Taking pride and joy in knowing he makes people happy. That's what I mean when saying the artists pride is more rewarding than the profit.
