Whoever expects masses of Romans under this name now, I must disappoint!

"Legion Miniatures" is another (new) combination of Russian sculptors and painters who market their figures together on this platform.

Among other things, there is the genial bust "Unfree" by Alexander Deryabin - with a no less brilliant boxart by Alexander Agurjanov ...:

-------------------------------------------

The following novelties are announced ...:

Title: General of the Infantry, Count Michail Andrejewitsch Miloradovich, 1814
Scale: 120 mm
White metal

--------------------------------------------

Title: Mounted Viking (Relief-Figure / half-flat)
Scale: 90 mm
Resin
Sculptor: Sergey Slobov

----------------------------------------------

Title: "God with us!" (Ancient Russian Warrior, Relief-Figure / half-flat)
Scale: Not stated, but probably also 90 mm
Resin
Sculptor: Sergey Sloboy (???)

-------------------------------------------------

The resin bust of a Kamikaze pilot, of which only this picture exists, but no further details (and which I like much more than the competition product of "Pegaso" for there are much more details) ...:

--------------------------------------------------

A Landknecht - even a picture without further details ...:

-------------------------------------------------

And - for me personally an absolute sensation! - a bust of my favorite singer, Wladimir Wyssotzki - probably in 1:10 ...:

Vladimir Wyssozki, who is almost unknown in the West, had the status of a national hero in the former Soviet Union.

He had an incredible voice!

His public funeral in Moscow in 1980 was - despite prohibition by the authorities! - the largest demonstration ever seen by the Soviet Union!

This bust I will definitely buy!

More about Wyssotski...:

For many people - including myself - the summer of 1980 always remains "the summer in which Wyssitski died"...

(Please excuse the unusual emotions, but when it comes to Wyssotski; I always "think" with the heart ...!)

-------------------------------------------

Here is the website of "Legion Miniatures" - unfortunately still a succession of Russian and English, but this will still find I think...:

https://www.legionminiatures.org

Browse and You will find a lot of well known figures there, and some things that have not been known in the West, because they have only been expelled in Russia ...

Cheers

Thanks for sharing love all the busts and the half flats ..a very talented sculptor indeed as we have seen from his work with Altores .

I particularly like "unfree" and the pilot

There are some interesting busts on the site ...the chess player for instance

I bought 'Unfree" from Roman but had never seen a picture, or indeed knew what it was called until now. Thanks.
The Pirate with Monkey figure is also the same but different to the other version and presumably by the same sculptor
