I just purchased the 120mm kit of Captain Dixon emerging from the Hunley ( John @Military Miniatures Warehouse) I would like to close of the open ends of the Hunley part and put some lighting inside. I thought it might look pretty cool to show some lighting coming from beneath Dixon as he emerged from the hatch. ( Candles were use as a light source back then) I have never done any lighting before and am looking for some help from the forum as to how to go about doing this. I would like to set it up so there are no exterior wires or switch. I would lift up the model and the bulb, batteries and wire would be contained under the model. to turn it on I would lift up the model and put the batteries in. ( remove to turn it off). Does anyone have any suggestions at to what I need to buy to set this up. I would like the bulb to be as cool as possible so I wouldn't overheat the resin/paint on the completed model. Thanks in advance for your help!
