Hi guys,

I have a question, I'm looking for a World War 2 Soviet soldier figure in a scale bigger than 1:35.
I've been looking around and I found a lot of Soviet officers and NCO's, but very few normal soldiers.

Maybe someone can help me find a figure.

Thanks.

Hi Michel,
You could check some of these out

The Lost Battalion
The Imperial Gallery
Mitches Military Models
Mil-Mart Miniatures
Kirin(via ebay)
Tamiya
Verlinden

cheers
Richie

Hello Michel, There's not very many new russian figures out there right now in scales larger then 1/35th, which IMO is very unfortunate. I to would like to see some plain russian soldiers produced in the larger scales. I've been hoping to see something like a 1/16th russian soldier w/anti-tank rifle personally. I did find a photo of a russian assault trooper you may be interested in, its by Corsar Rex

Hope you find what your looking for. Regards, SG:)

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the replies :)
Checking out those links and productions right now.
I've already checked with Tamiya they have a 1/16 officer.
Trumpeter has 1/16 tank crew and officers
Dragon has no Soviets/Russians.

I am looking for a scale like in 90mm, 120mm, 1:16
I would even settle for a buste, but I prefer a complete figure of a WW2 Russian/Soviet/Red Army foot soldier

Just like these guys

I wan't to paint one of those brave men out of a horde of hunderds that has been to hell and back.

Maybe I need to convert a figure or even start to learn how to sculpt on my own...
But I do want to get the details right, no sloppy officer conversion that is not correct.

I think you guys mean this one by the Kirin one?

very nice, I've seen someone build it, but the website that sells them is underconstruction and I don't want a sniper. sry

is it a complete figure or do I need to assemble it, maybe I can convert it.
change the position of the arm, hand and other weapon.

Yes indeed. So i'm not the only one that has a need for common Soviet soldiers :)

I think there is no other option as to sculpt or convert my own figure in 1/16 scale (if i get that far)
Need to find a base figure to chop up and use for parts to stick on to a wire frame.
I think that sniper guy or the polish man is a good option for that. (including the spare parts that come with the figure)

I know your pain! Would love to see a bog standard red army infantryman in 120mm. No tank commanders or specialist troops, just baggy summer tunic, side cap, ppsh, rolled great coat, rucksack - the sort of thing you associate with the red army in ww2..
Lost battalion miniatures does a nice 120mm infantryman in Berlin and the sniper from foxwood figures is beautiful and could be easily converted into a regular infantryman. Otherwise I found this 12omm resin figure by Rest Models very good! not exactly ww2 but close enough as it represents a regular infantryman in 1936 http://www.restmodels.com/?p=model&id=53&s=&l=en

hope that helps:) Colin
