Purely from artistic perspective, I would move right arm more "out" in a throw, not full stretch, but just open it up a bit and extend the wrist.
It will have more dynamism and give opportunity to show the grenade.

Hi D ,

That is a good point moving the arm out slightly would allow better viewing of the grenade ..can I ask you to draw over one of the images if possible to show this ...would make it easier o shot him sculptors .

Thank for the input

Something like this, left arm doesn't need to be stretched as much but could "go out" a little to open

Dan,

As Gaudin rightly says it a 3D (WIP) as a bust it will come out at about 1/9th ...measuring approx 100mm form top of head to lower edge .

There is another small mistake. I feel guilty for pointing it out. but if it helps.

the pistol ammunition pouches have no buckle of their own, instead there is the option to fasten directly to the waist belt via two hooks or as you have a pistol holster and a Binocular case you would need to use 1937 pattern brace extenders, this is the only way to connect the crossbelts. Therefore you would see the double buckle above the pouches not a single buckle as you have at the moment, the brace extenders were manufactured to accommodate the L shape straps of the small pack.
these pictures will explain.

here is the back of an ammunition pouch

here is the brace extender note the double buckle, the one with two bars and a split bar, the buckle at the top.

and here it is assembled

Hope you don`t mind, I know its very pedantic but as you haven`t finished it yet I thought it might help.

Like most on this thread, I got excited with seeing the picture and then reading all the comments. I'd go along with the suggestion about the hands and opening up the arm a little but I would go further - give him legs! I'd like the figure in full!

I would also add that the attention to the uniform, accessories from chemicalkenny is valuable - such attention when put into practice sets such figures apart from the rest.

I want one so add me to the order books. A great subject.

yes I know this picture and it can be confusing. He is wearing an other ranks, OR`S, shirt in fact and not a battledress. If you look at the man behind with the cigarette in his mouth you can see it more clearly. The cuffs are also a dead give away.
The trousers are non regulation and look to me like some sort of moleskin civilian type. if you look you will see there is no field dressing pocket on the right thigh and even at that angle you would expect to see the pocket flap of the map pocket on the left thigh( like the guy with binoculars behind him) .If they were battledress or even denims( denims are seen being worn by dads army a lot) you would see evidence of this.
hope this helps.

By the way, the man behind with the binoculars and life preserver is wearing a battledress jacket, look at the cuffs, they are turned back and you can see the lining material, Lovats cuff is also slightly turned back and there is no lining, therefore is surely a shirt.:) Shirts were called Polplin material, it is like the AERTEX shirts of the 1970`s and much thinner than battledress serge material, more comfortable for such a raiding party.
