there are some interesting points in that photograph, not applicable really because it is a bust, but all the same, notice a lot are wearing rubber soled boots, normally just for commandos, also Lovat has a civilian rifle! His sidearm is also not standard and the holster has been shortened. He also has a penny in his top right pocket!!:)

A very good likeness from what I can see. Great subject too.
For those that are interested there is a great song 'The Fraserburgh Train' by a band called Police Dog Hogan all about a young lad joining Lord Lovats commandos and landing on DDay- it tells a great story and is one of my favourites. Here is the link
