Hi mates!

I painted this miniature a few weeks ago, but I was really busy so I can't share it until now. Ok, this is a really cool seated pilot sculpted by Mike Good for Wings Cockpit Figures, 1:32 scale if I'm right. I would like to give special thanks to Mike for his help with the information about the uniform and his advices. The leather jacket must be black instead brown (brown is possible but not as the black one) but I was wrong and then was too late to change it (sorry Mike :( )

But I hope it will like to you.

Excellent painting!

How do you mean the jacket should be black? Wasn't brown used as well?
How about Mike's equally nice 1/16 figure for Alpine? Box art has a brown jacket that looks very much like this one.

Cheers,
Adrian

Adrian,

Alex sent me photos of the painted figure and i pointed out that the jackets were usually black, not brown. There were exceptions - such as the jacket worn by Molders and copied from contemporary photos. But most were black. Try doing a google image search for "Luftwaffe leather jacket" or "luftwaffe flight jacket" and you will see what i mean.

Nice work again Alex, especially like the freckles & ginger hair :)

I've got a little Luftwaffe pair coming up so tip on jacket is most timely too.

Stay safe

Mike
