Hi guys,

Is there anyone out there who can give me some idea if there was a patch on the back of the bearskin, as worn by some regiments of Mexican cavalry, Alamo era? (like the Napoleonic French one)

I have been given the top half of a Verlinden French Old Guard figure and would like to convert it into a bust of a Mexican cavalryman c.1836. I have uniform reference, but am struggling to get headgear details!

Thanks in anticipation,

Steve(y)
