Hi Vaux,
I really like how you have done the effect with the helmet. I have had a look at your site explaining how it is done and I have the general idea, but due to problems with the translator I am not sure about one thing. Do you use the stiff paintbrush on the white paint when it is wet or when it is dry?
Amazing work on the helmet and really smooth transitions in all the rest. You're technique is very impresive. Maybe some areas in the face that looks a little bit unreals, but great work anyway!!
Continue with the WIP, I tried to simulate the texture coat paint applying pointillism that this scale is very good and I finished the white garment.
Below paint the cover of the gas mask and bullets.
Hello Vaux, Excellent painting on the coat texture, it looks very realistic. Good luck with your progress on this figure. Watching with interest. Regards, SG
Exellent painting on the overcoat my friend ! great contrast and lighting and the texture is superb !
I think there maybe to much white in the highlights or it could be the light used for the images ... I normally highlight field grey with naples yellow or flesh (Naples yellow is a kind'a pale yellow) a thin filter of the mid tone would knock it back a bit.
Thanks for the feedback, I am pleased that you like as this being the overcoat. This technique is very slow but the results are good.
The bright white appears in the photos, but is a shade off in reality. It is a medium gray base, illuminated with bone to give pure, always with acrylic, oils yet it scares me ....
