Love the worn look on this guys kit, the details you have added really take an excellent kit up a notch. Good drills.
Scotty.

Happy Benchtime

Wow, 3 weeks it took me for this update. These rotten equipment slings! Really had to think and experiment how to do the slings for the gas mask. The issue was to fit them through their tiny attachment eyes on the canister, fold one end back on the sling and then ensure the rest of the sling has the right length and tension. All this while not messing up the wobbly attachment of the gas mask canister to the body.

I tried Rolled MagicSculpt but that was too soft to push through the eyes. I found lead foil too thin and ended up using paper: two sheets laminated for thickness and stiffened with super glue, cut to size. For brevity I skip all the stuff that went wrong…..

What an unpleasant job this was! Hope things stay put during painting.

Rest of the figure will be rather straightforward: trousers, boots, arms.

Cheers
Adrian

Looks good, paper is a very versatile material for all sorts of applications, good idea laminating it.

Cheers Simon

Looking very good indeed....

Well, didn't you go to Scale Model Challenge? I thought I saw a couple of yours in the competition.....;)

Thanks Nigel.

I did enjoy SMC indeed. A great show. Thought there would be other PF members as well. I also recognized some models. Pity we may just have anonimously passed each other…! Maybe next time!

Cheers
