It's really starting to come to life now Mick. The detail on the czapka plate is amazing.
That statement has got me thinking.....were they referred to by the British at the time as czapka's or Lance Caps? :confused:

I have always thought of them and called them Lance Caps. What the official title of them in the British Army in the 1880 's and now I dont know have to do a bit of ferreting

Thanks for your kind words and encouragement, off down the model shop today to get the wire for the cap lines, so back to the bench tomorrow

Hi Bob,
Yes I use trout catchers I have it at home, But I left it behind when I packed to come away. Mrs B only lets me have so much suite case room for models and paints etc, So I'm afraid its a stroll along the beach into town.

You'll have to wear one of those fisherman's waistcoats with all the pockets when you next board a plane, secrete everything into that, problem solved.
