Mike,
I have tried your method of painting, (not to your standard though) it works, it does take practice but well worth the effort. Thanks for the guide.
Superb painting on these little figures, but by the look of it you have either got bloody great hands or they really are 54mm.
This is one little dio I will have to try.
Thanks again for posting.
Best regards.

My thoughts started with 'kinell that's amazin' and a big exhale, and then I wish I could use that technique on something....and I will at some point.
Totally fantastic Mike.
Paul.
Way too kind here Paul. Thanks!
What technique were you particularly keen too try mate?
Pyrotechnic! Inspirational! So much gritty realism on such small figures. Never seen better painting.
All the best,
Dan
Thank you Dan, may pay more to the new macro lens I've got.
Hasty practice first shots using this.
Hope I can capture whole scene when I complete it.

Neat to hear you've had some success Bob.
And no my hands are normal size & these guys are true 1/32 scale.
You're a very talented man Mike! Very realistic.

Honoured to get this comment from you :)
Your trench scenes have inspired me to spend more time on this "leftover" trench.
It's a bit worse for wear having swapped ownership over a period of time ;)
Wow! And wow again!
Cheers, Andrew
Thanks! And Thanks again! Andrew :)
Hi Mike,
Love the realism and that your thinking outside the square with this dio, a pleasure to look at, congratulations.
Regards
Chris.
Pleasing to hear you like it Chris, thanks & still trying hard to capture a genuine sense of place.
Have used actual soil from Chunuk Bair which I bought a small sample home for this vignette.

Stay safe everyone, your supportive comments are all appreciated.

It's done!
A year has passed since I began this project & finally lads are ready to tell their story.
Just awaiting a nameplate for base.

Will explore taking photos with macro lens on camera this weekend.
Aim to have photos to share within the week :)

Stay safe,
Mike

Seriously Bob just trying to get to grips with Macro lens.
Life's one big lesson & so lots more learning to do.
Thought I'd share progress in meantime
Maybe some more shots today of the other bits

Thanks Peter, sort of enjoy texturing webbing, though have done a fair bit over the last couple of months so may need less on next project.
Appreciate comments mate.

Stay safe,
Mike
