Another little 1/32 (54mm) pilot for your consideration.
Sculpted by Benoit Cauchies for Wings Cockpit Figures

What do you think?

Stay safe,
Mike

Superb Mike.(y)
That is a brilliant figure. Looks like a pretty dead on characterization of E. Rickenbacker. Maybe the best figure in this line of miniatures I've seen.
Nice sculpt; excellent painting.
I particularly like the texture you've achieved on the clothing.
Cheers,
Andrew
Love the textures you have achieved with the colour on the uniform. Superb.

Thank you guys, neat challenge trying to effectively miniaturise a variety of Khaki serge on this one.
Had the opportunity to see lots of original Eddie Rickenbacker & his buddies clothing last month in Omaka.
Amazing stuff & reference to die for!

Lots more to come with further WW1 subjects on the bench now.

Stay safe,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Late to the party on this one but it's your usual brilliant work - congrats. Like others, I really like how you handled the colour and woolly texture of the uniform and greatcoat, but I especially like how you handled the sheepskin texture on the flying helmet - I never can seem to get that colour quite right but you've nailed it.

Cheers,

Brian

Never late Brian & thanks mate!
Sheepskin fur is actually fine teasing of Jo Sonja Naples Yellow with a light wash using transparent Vallejo colours - Smokey Hue & Umber

Hope that helps, does take patience but I like effect when it comes off right.

Stay safe,
Mike

Beautifully painted, as always Mike (y) Nobody captures uniform textures like you do
Great painting Mike, Congratulations!

Thanks Nick, one thing I'm striving continually to get better at is textures. Kirill K sets standard for me on this.

Pavka, appreciate your comment & look forward to maybe painting some of your LRDG lads as ANZACs ;)

Stay safe
Mike

Another lovely pilot Mike . Nice textures on the uniform and perfect colours . Would love to see some of your pilots posed with 1/32 aircraft one of these days .
Cheers

Thanks for the recipe Mike - got some of Dave's RAF pilots in the queue to try it out on!
