The nice things about various Special Units, be it SEALs, SAS etc; is they wear what they want for the most part 'in country' so you have a lot of leeway and room for what you want them to be wearing, including non standard equipment and camo as well as footwear etc
 
One common piece of kit seen in Afghanistan is the down filled 'puffer' jackets.

The brits tend to favour snugpack brand, the kiwi's tend to wear macpac.
