Hello again Guys, just to show that I've not been completely idle since Euro, here is my second flat. It's the compainion peice to my first one and again, I had a ball when I was doing it.
If you haven't tried one before, then I recommend it.

Fantastic work Anthony. I've got some of their Indians started.......but can't seem to get back to them.

Hi Anthony...really very nice work..lovely reds and blues.
Looks great.

Are you going to be able to make it to the Gravesham show on Saturday..??
Looks like it's shaping up to be a great show.

All the best...Roy.

Anthony,
Its certainly a nice flat , lots of character, some great painting , especially on the drumstick holder, I have done a couple of 4th hussars , and they are really nice ..if you see them have a go at them , like to see how you handle gold lace work....regards and best wishes Kev

Guys your kind words are most welcome and serve as a real encouragement, they inspire me to do more!

Guy - I know that feeling mate!

Roy, I'll certainly try to get to Gravesham, it is looking promising indeed.

Marc, have a go mate. Do a simple one first to see if you get on with flats, some people don't and you can count some accomplished figure paintes in that as well.

Pete, I work entirely in oils over enamels...

Kevin, give me a chance mate, I still consider myself a beginner! I know the one you're on about and I do really like it. Looks a real gem.

Patrick, good luck with it, let me know how you get on.

thankyou fellas!

Oh yeah, the reds.
I shade them with green.......shock horror! It goes VERY dark at first, but once blended in looks natural. Then I highlight red in a light orange colour, wet on dry...
hope this helps...... ;)
