I started figure painting in about 1973 and never once considered painting a bust. However, next up in my to do list (once I finish the aircraft I am building) is a bust...... I recently acquired one from a friend and thought I would give it a go.I started figure painting in 2022, since then I haven't thought much about painting busts. Now is the time, hope it will turn out OK.
Very nice start, base flesh tones look good.

I have to say the thought of not having to worry about painting the entire figure with all its equipment and not having to do any groundwork make it an appealing "quick" project. But it does feel a bit like cheating...... Sorry Kev.....
I believe this is a false reassurance of ourselves as with a larger proportions comes more detail and blending to do
Oh dear, and I thought it would be a quick project.......
