Hi Simon, these Spanish troops were in charge of maintaining the borders against attacks by the indigenous people of those areas (Apaches, Comanches, Navajos, Yumas, etc. etc.) in what was the territory of New Spain and which, among others, corresponded to the current states of Texas, Arizona, California, New Mexico, mainly, thousands and thousands of kilometers, founding cities such as Santa Fe, Tucson, San Francisco, Los Angeles, El Paso, Albuquerque, etc. etc. It is a brief summary to put you in the context of this interesting period of history.

These figures are a re-scaled version from 28mm to 54mm made for me from FALCATA MINIATURAS of Spain . Original figures are in metal for War-Games but these ones are printed 3D in resin

FALCATA Miniaturas has a great catalogue with lot of "Dragones de cuera" and Apache indians in 28mm scale (For wargaming)
