A great set of figures and a flat as well. I've come across these as I have looked at reference for that Carlist Wars on Pintrest, they make a really unusual subject, love it.

Thanks a lot my friend.
These are not from Carlist Wars, they are much before but anyway....really they are a very unknow subjects from Spanish History.

Fascinating era, location, and subject matter. You've done a great job researching, collecting, painting, and grouping these figures in the various vignettes. I love them. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Simon, these Spanish troops were in charge of maintaining the borders against attacks by the indigenous people of those areas (Apaches, Comanches, Navajos, Yumas, etc. etc.) in what was the territory of New Spain and which, among others, corresponded to the current states of Texas, Arizona, California, New Mexico, mainly, thousands and thousands of kilometers, founding cities such as Santa Fe, Tucson, San Francisco, Los Angeles, El Paso, Albuquerque, etc. etc. It is a brief summary to put you in the context of this interesting period of history.

Indeed an interesting period and one that deserves a little more representation.
