Dear Planeteers!

After 80 days I just finished my latest project:

It shows the two main characters of a famous Soviet movie (1957), called "Тихий Дон" ("And Quiet Flows The Don") after the Nobel Price awarded novel by Michail Scholochow about the Don Cossacks during the Great War and the Russian Civil war.

Elina Bystritzkaja as "Aksinja Astachowa"...

...and Pjotr Glebow as "Grigorij Melechow"...:

Scale: 1:9
Sculptor: Pavol "Offo" Ovecka (with a few additions and changes from me)
Painting: Myself
(Both busts are unique pieces!)

Hope you enjoy!

Thanks Palo für sculpting those wonderful busts!

Cheers

Beautiful finished piece and presentation Martin...….But you can't tell me that both of those pics you posted on top aren't saying "Is there something wrong with you?":)...So maybe it's true....Everyone has their own interpretation of anything they want to believe. Not sure is it was Stan Laurel or Oliver Hardy that said that...…Anyway...….Keep up the great work.

Gosh Martin you turned out a lovely looking piece. Your skills are in full display here(y)! I really like the film and canister on the base. Its the perfect addition.

Very nicely done. Whoever invented/designed the Paisley (teardrop) pattern has a lot to answer for!
