Thats a good one, Janne. Let him pay tax on his hard earned cash, lets support entrepreneurial spirit :D

Actually, you may have hit something. I am yet to see a tax man who will ignore this kind of stuff.

Guadin, Exactly!:D

The, veritable 'Tax-man', would look into this guys 'Nefarious, Tax-Returns' . and then start probing, as to what else he is into ? accessing banking details, in comparison to his standard of living and employment, etc.

I would lay a bet, that the 'Taxman' would be more investigative than the police. ;)

I told you before, there are worse thing than the police. ;)
And remember that it was the Tax-man who brought Al Capone down.

Maybe we can dwell further into this. Does the place he uses have the legislated ventilation, if he does at his own home, is then a health risc for the neigbhours? How does he store the chemicals? Are there a fire detector and an extingusher? Is there eyewash? Does he take care of the waist accordning to legislated and enviromental rules.

Cheers

Just a lighthearted joke, could not resist.

Waste (as rubbish) , waist (as tummy line), sounds almost same.

Your English is 1000 times better than my Swedish, my friend ;)

Wait and see how funny it is when we have conquered the world and force you all to talk swedish, language of the gods and heroes. :grumpy:

Janne,

If that's the case, I suspect 'Arn', has been re-born! ... if so, we are all in trouble! :ROFLMAO:

First of all, Pay-Pal are 100% owned by e-bay, it's their major method of financial transactions for e-bay. So, by disrupting, and throwing doubt onto Pay=pal as an "Honnest Broker" WITHIN THE SELLING/BUYING comunity, you directly cast doubt on ALL Pay-Pal's credibility. This IS a situation they have to address, and pay attention too. Claude, by sitting back and taking the view that we cant do anything about it,just plays into their mind=set. I've PROVED it It can work, and we'll have a much bigger chance of stopping thi, not completely, but get them on our side, it makes it much harder for them to ignore the situation. Dont forget, the crime is being perpetrated on THEIR SITE they are actively helping in fraudulent activities, and they need to be made aware of this by as many people as possible, in a helpfull way to stop them participating in this Fraud. Ray see my post on forming an association...pot shots from PF just aren't going to do it I'm afraid. People are going to spend an awful lot of time and effort without any real progress. Ebay are massive this is a flea bite to them.

I know there has been some success by people on PF but how much time and effort do you want to keep putting into this? These people are not going to go away and although Ebay are a cheats charter it is highly profitable for them.

I'm involved in another area of business with much higher sums of money at stake and items are constantly being misdescribed and people are being cheated-in fairness to Ebay they have created something that is totally beyond their control. It is up to the suppliers to do something about it Ebay just can't. Yes they can react when something is brought to their notice but I repeat how much time and effort are you going to spend?

Lets just say a group of us got together and agreed that we were each going to buy a piece from the guy in Hungary I alluded to above. We all buy a piece, claim it to be a fake, Ebay give us our money back after we agree to send it back. So he loses a few items..........will it stop him and others like him .............no!. So are you going to want to keep repeating it? Let's get real about this it is a manufacturers problem that only they can sort out (even that is dubious)

Producers either have to get together or accept that this is an area of business that they are going to have to live with....as they have been doing for some considerable time.

Sorry if my views are contrarian but I am trying to be realistic!

Additionally the local tax collectors might be interested in the activity as its seldom legimit company rather than a privat person trying to earn a quick buck.

This might be the way to go. In my experience, where money(tax) is concered they will be interested.
Also Inland Revenue, or whatever any given country calls them, tend to have greater powers of seizure and entry etc.

Some people that buy from him may not be aware that he is a recaster, but assume that he is a distributor that can afford to give a big discount, any one new to the hobby could think this way. I would not entertain a recast myself, not only because it is unethical but I would presume that it's quality was inferior, and in the event of missing pieces or the need for replacement of parts at a later date, I would be unable to obtain them, because the Recaster had moved on to other activities. Now I know there are many that would be prepared to accept this risk, in search of a so called bargain, indeed Tony Wilbraham said this on PF, but for those that want to know that they are getting the true product we need to make sure that the person knows what he is buying. Should manufacturers be exploring ways of identifying that anything other than one of their products is a copy? Now I am not saying put a mark or number on the piece, but to include some form of identification either within or to accompany the piece at the point of sale, or dispatch to a recognised distributor. I know that won't stop a lot of people who couldn't care less so long as its cheaper, but it would safe guard those that are seeking the genuine thing. It's just food for thought, but then again my idea may have already been considered and rejected as unworkable .
