Hi. I was just curious as to what the meaning is and where the status comes from for the PF participants. Is this some kind of points system where you advance after so many likes etc? Maybe it doesn't mean anything?
I see the following after everyones names:

Member
Well-Known Member
Active Member
Planet Figure Supporter (like myself, I imagine these are people who subscribe)
A Fixture
Administrator (self explanatory)

Just curious!
Thanks!

Hi Gary

I will get it confirmed but as you say it stems back to the number of points members were awarded based on participation

Your right about PF Supporter .....a small subscription helps towards the site upkeep

Good question, I've been here on pF since 2009 and I'm still not sure what the difference is between Well-Known Member / Active Member / A Fixture.

I've also noticed that members who don't post much (if at all) are still tagged as "New member" even if they've been a member for years, so it probably all has to do with the number of posts you put up and possibly also your log-in frequency, but what the thresholds are I don't know.

The Treefrog Toy Soldier forum uses military ranks, "promoting" the member when he reaches the appropriate number of posts. The lady who ran the forum came up with it, as a fun way to show how long members had been there, and who participated more.

Prost!
