Hello Friends of PF. This time I want to show the last figure I have painted. This
is Étienne Marie Antoine Champion, Count of Nansouty. The sculpture is very
good and has been a pleasure to paint. I put snow on the ground to made
somethig different to the box art.
Hope you like it.
Greetings.

Hi steve. I use Andrea artificial snow for the ground. I make a mixture of water, white glue for school use and the snow dust. After mixing, I apply it with a paintbrush.

Nice work Eduardo! I really like the touch of the health dapples on the horse - I've never actually seen one with them on top of the hindquarters but not saying it can't happen! Very nice work and you've got a rich mahogany bay. I also love the detail you put into the uniform. Well done!

Thank you very much for your comments, Steve, Sam, David, Karrie, Mauro and Collin. About health dapples in the upper part of the hindquarters, I ´ve searched some pictures and seems, it is quite normal. Some samples.

Good job Eduardo! I had a feeling you knew what you were doing. lol! As I said, I've just never seen it myself. :D

Would you mind if I saved those pics for reference as well? Those are fantastic shots of health dapples and for me have been difficult to find. I see them most on the barrel and the side of the hip/hindquarters. But if the light isn't right they can be difficult to see.

Again fantastic work!

Cheers,
Karrie

Lots of horses have dapples not just grey,s I am working on a project on a pony breeding farm at the moment and the young pony's can start off as brown gradually grey or roan with dapples and eventually ending up almost white
so, yes plenty of dapples

Thank you very much, friends, for your kindly comments. Katie especially thanks
to you. I must confess, I didn´t know the dapples on the the horses, were
dapples of health. I assure you, I do not know much about horses, but I'm learning.

Diego, you're right, this figure would have been much better with a wooden
stand and work the ground in it. But it´s a commissioned work and the collector
wanted to put in his own base.

Gracias de nuevo Diego, admiro mucho tu trabajo y para mi tu opinión es muy
importante.
Regards.
