Some more progress. Started the white shirt. Base with warm white, raw umber, black, gold oxide and english uniform (andrea colors). Highlights adding titanium white and shadows with a mix of paynes grey and raw umber.

Thank you guys for the kind words.
Carl i think it is the same thing as glaze. Meaning is highly diluted paint applied like a film over a specific area in contrast with the wash which is applied in abundance all over the place.
Some progress on the coat and ribbon.
For the undercoat i use the same mix as for the shirt with addition of burnt umber and raw sienna to have a warmer tone.
For the ribbon the mix is brown madder with norwegian orange. Shadows adding pthalo green and highs with norwegian orange and then norwegian orange plus napples yellow and raw sienna.
Finally for the black collar base mix with carbon black, english uniform (vallejo) and french blue. Shadows with black and lights adding the flesh basic mix.

I wanted to thank you for doing this SBS. We are very fortunate to be able to see these steps from a superior painter such as yourself. Now hurry up with the next step!:p

Thank you all guys for the knid comments and compliments.
Progress is kind of slow.
Finished some details and started the coat. I also added some lights to the face as it looked a bit toned down.
For the coat i use a mix of skintone base, paynes grey, french blue, carbon black and a touch of purple madder. Highs with skintone base shadows with black.
Beside you can see three lights and two shadows applied.

Congrats Jimako
I think that this small correction brightening a little more face gave him was missing throughout the whole.
And the coat is extremely amazing!:notworthy:

Just started painting this guy myself so I did a search for other versions of it and I found this one. Anyone know if Dimitrios has given the hobby up? I sure miss seeing his work posted here.
