Thanks guys! .. when Ratty is next on, I will pick his brains. (Again), clearly when Euro is done and dusted! ..

Thanks Geoff, I know of two additions from Bonapartes, .. e.g.. .. lhf1.jpg & mflc-mounted-lancer-conversion-kit-154-p.jpg. The first, might be being re-produced, before Christmas. The second is available, but is quite costly. I am not familiar with the other saddle cloth. Can you remember the name of this U.S, Manufacturer, ?

Regards,

Mark

Another difference but not sure. I think there is a Malta cross on the Polish lancer shapska and something else on the Red´s one. Unless opposite...

There is a photograph in Brasseys Master Modellers of a conversion/partial scratch build of a Polish Lancer by Robert Baxter using some Poste Militaire parts. Our scanner's died so I'll try to get a photo if I can.

Not sure if this'll work and even if it does the photo quality is pretty rubbish but hopefully it'll show the quality of the piece.

It looks as if he used many components from the original rider plus the horse body from the PM Orleans Cavalry Trumpeter kit.
