Painting red beard ....ideal for your friendly Highlander ( figure from Sabot Miniatures)

Pic 1: Using a dark red color (doesn't matter the brand or number), any dark red color works for the base colour

Pic 2: Using a large brush, I paint the first light or a base light mixing the base color with an orange brown.

Pic 3: Adding definition and lighter tones, adding orange and yellow to the previous mix.

Pic 4: Final definition adding sunny skin tone and for the shadows a bit of violet mixing with dark red.

Hi everyone

Thought I'd add this from PF member Viking Bob ....the colours he uses for a Napoleonic blue

The Scale colour is called Deep Blue

The deep blue had a bit of black added for the base, then a bit more black added for the shade. Highlights were from deep blue with some the lighter blue added
