Need a Good book/dvd

Hello there, I am a new member and I would like to know if there's any dvd or books out there on figure painting, I have found some but they are mostly on miniature painting.
Any help would be appreciated, specially if you provide any links or websites where I can find them. Thanks a million in advance!!!

Note: I am fluent in Spanish as well so I'm open to that, I know Spain is a huge part on figure painting.

The Dannilo Cartacci book is good for beginners but you'll find a wealth of information here on the forums and people will give you the best of advice to bring you on quickly.

Indeed, Cartacci's book is one of the best around.
Andrea has a DVD (its only acrylic) but it will give no more then the book of Danilo.
There is alot of info here on the forum, then you will ever get out of books.

Roman Lapatt recently provided Planeteers with a link to his Massive Voodoo site-there are some great tutorials here in several languages. there are a lot of others on U-tube if you do a search.

Personally, i love the HOT LEAD
it may involve around fatasy type figure, but the tutorial are all excellent/ you can see the brush and how the color run very closely

Ben i have that one too ( HOT LEAD ) dvd american import, not expensive but very usefull. Yes it's set around Fantasy, which i enjoy as well but of course it can be taloured to any period or theme.

The question is also depends on you painting style. If you like paint figures with the layer technics then a good choice is the dvd from Jeremie Teboul "Miniature Painting". In this dvd you learn also a lot of colors and their mixing together and color theory. Jeremie is a really great painter, he has a own website. Also you will learn about preparation of the figures, base composition an a lot more. One of the best DVD I have ever seen.
