Hmm, this character certainly does have an affinity with his 'Trumpet', (As do we all, ).

However, this piece does seem a tad childish in posture.:( .. It's like go and find your own trumpet !!

I am not sure of the context of this visual!

As nice as it is, which! by the way, is very well rendered and painted. I cannot get this vision out of my head!

Regards,

Mark

Hi guys,

Well painted without a doubt but I do agree with Mark , think it's the arm position being so close to getting body gripping the trumpet but I have no doubt it will sell well .

I would have liked the trumpet across his back ..but that's my opinion

Thanks for sharing

Very nice painting Michael,I love the light blue jacket and how you've painted it,and the trumpet cords as well, congratulations mate .

Clone? Would you care to explain?

Carl

As requested, for me all busts below has the same face, that being said, I don't think that a French soldiers should look like to a Iroqois indian....

Well bearing in mind I sculpt somewhere between 30- 50 pieces a year in various scales, periods and styles, and you pick out 5...

But if you don't like what I sculpt thats fine you're absolutely entitled to your opinion.

But as long as my clients and their customers are happy I'll continue to do what I do.

But thanks anyway for your input.

Carl

Debrito.

On this one I am totally confused about by what you are saying ??

The only similar one is the 'French Foot', but even then the face is different (Mouth & feel) ! How you can you equate the 'Huron', and the rest of these 'Bust's', as the same face?? This 'Beats the hell out of me'.

Perhaps you have eyes, that I don't!

I for one, cannot see your argument!:(

Sorry,

Mark

Well if they all look the same you are seeing something I am not, or rather I can see the differences that maybe you cannot. All images you have shown are different, not to mention all the other busts sculpted by Carl.
This may have nothing to do with me but as you have included one of mine I think fair to comment.
I own 8 busts by Carl and all are unique, and this is before the painter brings his/her interpretation to the piece. I think it unfair to say Carl sculpts clone faces, his output is huge and of the highest quality. It is inevitable that if you pick some out of the many faces he sculpts somewhere you may some similarities somewhere, but clones they are definitely not.
And ALL Carl's sculpts are new sculpts, I know as I as others receive the master sculpt.
I am a VERY happy client :)

Hi Guys,

Well I am confused and will be booking an opticians appointment in morning if these are the same ...nope for the life of me I see different faces ...

Like Gra says all of Carl's are unique

Carl ...is that all you do in a year .........thank goodness that's all as I can!t keep up with you young man...long may your tools be in action

I have quite a few of Carl's Sculpts and they all have a different characters and expressions, if they were all the same I wouldn't have purchased them.
