Of all the subject matter out there I find it hard to believe that the buying public wants a 90mm Hitler figure. I think they've done him before. To each his own I guess. ~Gary

hello
well little adolf as german i have no problem with it but iam not sure whats o special on this figure.iam sure we will not see this in an german contest
the aquilifer is surely nice................but again one............i think its getting boring to see again this image done.
why not something more ambitious
surely nice sculpting but seen before

The most disturbing thought is not that Andrea produces figures of Adolf Hitler, but that they most probably do this actually in response to what the public, or a lot of figure painters want ... :(
Personally I'm (still, for now) member of a plastic modelling club where some members openly proclaim their sympathy for the nazis, so I can attest there are a lot of them around amongst us ...

This being said, I must admit that I have thought of purchasing the 1/16 scale Hitler by either Jaguar or Warriors (don't recall which one), because I thought it was excellently sculpted, much better than this Andrea figure, and just plain because of curiosity. I would however have put this figure in a setting that would hint at the nasty character of this personality, not in a setting that would glorify this character.

So, Andrea, when are you going to produce a figure of Anne Frank ? :)

About this "novelty" of a Hitler-Figure I would like to quote the famous German painter Max Liebermann:

"I can not eat as much as I want to puke!"

Regards

I seldom feel moved to write on here, I have so little time anyway. But I will this time.

Who signed this off? I feel this is another 'own goal' from Andrea. This is an issue that does rear it's very ugly head from time to time I know.

I read some years ago that one major reason that manufacturers don't really release figures of the Nazi hierarchy is that they've never sold very well. For reasons we all know about. This really is no different.

I agree wholeheartedly with Gary here.

This is one I don't believe for one moment will be flooding the competition tables.

Deary me...

What makes it worse is that in the photograph it sits right next to the "simply the best " slogan!

Echoing others, very disappointing. Romans and Nazis.
What, the French Grenadier wasn't ready?
Makes you wonder what designs are being rejected . . .
Andrea, you swung and missed (baseball analogy) on this month's offerings, and caused me to wonder just what the hell is going through your collective mind.
I buy a lot fewer of your products these days, as it is, because of the prices here in the US. And now you risk pushing me away due to subject matter?
Not a sound business model, methinks . . .

well i would say one should not overdo things here.even if adolf it not every mans taste this figure is in no way an propaganda article or is ment to harm someones feelings.its an tinsoldier not more.
if one is so politicaly correct one should avoid figures of Dschingis Khan-Ivan the Terrible-or other chaps which did kill million of people during their reign.
so its an figure if one likes it its ok if not thats ok too.
sorry only an oppinion.other companies have this in program too in different scales.
i think andrea has already one in programm as Hermann Meier and does look quite good more appealing than this.
only an oppinuion
cheers

We are watching this thread closely, as we have these debates whenever these figures show up.

Sadly, we've had folks request their memberships be removed over ridiculous discussions over the obvious in the past, this is just release news :)

The aquilifer is really common.
The "speaker" is really... inappropriate... unless you convert it into Charles Chaplin in a famous scene from The Great Dictator.

This has got to be the post of the year in terms of hatred and emotional intensity.

I was like, wow, let's check out Andrea's latest cartoonish take on things! Shoot, my internet can't allow me to see the actual pictures! Well let's deduce the what and how good from comments. Holy cow, Andrea detonated a bomb, again...

Thanks for the posting pedro,i do like Andrea miniatures and i painted the first Hitler figure they released in 2007,however i'm not keen on this one and i echo the sentiments of my fellow modelers the likeness is not there for me,neither of these new releases will be on my shopping list, thanks for showing anyway!
