The blade of the sword is metal this works best with a steel sewing needle,
All you do is "rub" the blade with the needle, because the needle is round it will not mark the sword blade. You need to do this with light pressure. you can also do this with a metal figure wearing Armour, use the same method.

When I first saw this piece, the first thing I thought of was one of those Italian guys singing "O Sole Mio".....But it is really a super looking piece and excellent paintwork.
