I am a bit dissapointed the perfectly scaled pickle (kosher dill maybe?) lying on the base in the second picture didn't get worked into the over all piece though, maybe next time!

YES!! It's a pickle! I may have to save that for a future project ;)

Thanks for all the kind words. They are very much appreciated.

I still have some work to do on him but hope to have him primed by this weekend.

What can I say, and not to echo the others?! Excellent work, Jason, as usual!!
Hope that you'll paint the figure soon, and post the pics!!!

Cheers,

Nemanja

Fantastic....

WOW,Jason, that's a REALLY BEAUTIFUL sculpt there (y) (y) !!! I MUST get a set of the new 1/32 scale heads from Hornet to use for my future projects ;) ! Is the difference in scale size very obvious from their "usual" range,Jason ? Just wondering. Anyhow,CONGRATS,my friend. Cheers !
Kenneth.

Thanks Nemanja and Roy!

Dan, I use a constant burnishing motion with the toothpick when working the putty.
I don't like to carve too much of the figure (although AVES is wonderful for it) and I don't like to sand much. This gives the figure that "clean" look. I'll also use hand lotion with a paintbrush to smooth seams together. Just careful observation on the thickness of the putty when applying leaves me with less to take off later. Hope that all made sense....I'm still learning new techniques and thats what makes sculpting so much fun.

Kenneth, yes there is a difference in size. Hopefully we'll see more heads from him in this scale in the future.

Rafa, thanks my friend!

Francesca, thanks! The sword is from an Airfix kit. The sword knot is putty.

For the trousers I used 814 Burnt Cad. Red for the base, 814 and 908 Carmine Red for the first highlight, plain 908 for the second highlight, for the last highlight 957 Flat Red. For shadow 985 Hull Red.

Here's a couple more-
