I started this 60mm white metal figure from http://www.greekheroes.gr/ last time I was at home and now I'm back from my summer holidays work has recommenced.

Great work Roger. There is a lot of detail there. Are you painting in oils or acrylics?

Paul

Thanks very much Paul.
Most of what has been done so far is acrylics. The shading of the gold embroidery, metal parts of the helmet and greaves has been done with Burnt Umber oils.
I'll be using oils for further shading and highlighting of the clothes.

Splendid little fellow! Going to take a look at the Greek heroes site.

Wish you were still in Greece though supervising goats with the help of an endless stream of Backlavas and liters of 'cleaning fluid'. :D I am back too. But the homesick feeling in my belly is still there.:(

Cheers Paul

There's some really nice ancients in the Greek Heroes range that would be right up your street, I'm tempted myself just to do something a bit different.
Missing my Baklava and goats but I have this to keep my brakes clean.
