Hi Marcus

Again fine update , with the Uhlans coming into the scene really coming together now

Nice interaction between the figures , my favourite view is looking at the car from the from , the expressions on the passengers is spot on

Thanks for sharing

Looking forward to seeing more on this and from the bench in '23

Thank you kind sir. I’m not working at the moment so bit more time to spend at the bench. Modelling is a passion, many are better than me, but the drive to create what’s in my head keeps me going for many many hours at a time. That and I don’t sleep much or watch much TV, that helps. :D

Thank you Kevin, really appreciate your ongoing support. Yes, I like the front view, similar to the charge at Huj /35 scene. Doing in a narrow field of view gives great depth from the front, same time it works side view to track the detail and sequence of the car chase. Trying to not rush each figure. Its hard to make each Uhlan slightly different, but in doing so hoping it makes for a more realistic scene when it’s finally all brought together.

A small update.
Not added his Lance yet. Close to finishing another 1/35 German Uhlan figure, for the WW1 1914 scene.

Great painting. You have your own style which really suits dioramas well, if you know what I mean..... You are really able to bring out the character of the figures and help to tell the story (y)

Thank you mate, looking forward to comparing both our 1914 figure diorama’s. I really should try painting in oils, most of the tubes I have are very old. So when finances allow I will get some primary and secondary colours and give it a go. :)

I've seen this on Twitter (and commented there already), but I enjoy the diorama - even in its current state - so much already that I'll comment again on here!

Just going to agree ....wonderful to see this progress ......will we see a small dust cloud behind the car ?
..

That was my thought exactly. Maybe it would underline the dynamic of the scene.

edit: What I did not know was how heavily the figures and the car are converted and how much of it is sculpted by you. What a great effort!

Calling this project done.

A few errors along the way, to be expected with such an involved and long project but happy with the overall result.
Added some additional details like sweat on the horses and some dust kicked up along the dirt road.

Thank you all for following me on this 1914, battle of the frontiers chase diorama journey. Hope it’s been an okay watch.
