...we do however have a choice of Buff, Yellow, Green and White.

FWIW I'm fond of buff. Nothing against the other colours, although the white seems the one that would be the most bland/boring.

Roger, i am glad we agree on the buff facings, i know very little of british uniforms, but always caught my attention the red/buff combination.
I think the story of the regiment is important too,it makes you appreciate more the subject you are painting.

I love painting yellow facings and drummers jackets.....shading seams so much easier.

Nice kit, looking forward to you posting some pictures. Looks like you have had a tough time on the other figure but don't lose heart and keep up your determination. If your hair is falling out, don't waste it - use it as grass or horse mane.

Down in Devonport mate, to be honest I know myself the the white is nowhere near as good as other peoples, but for the standard of painting I'm at I feel pretty pleased with it.
