SOS I'm trying to find out if any of you guys out there have a tube of Rowneys Georgian Madder Brown oil paint as I've been.using it as one of my main oil paints for many years.Rowney actually discontinued this colour some time ago and the tube I'm using at present is like toothpaste.
I've tried other colours including Brown Madder but its got to be Georgians Madder Brown.
Just think its like trying to find the.Holy Grail and you'll get an idea how important this oil colour is to me

Brian,
You might care to try the Sennelier range, very fine paints[I use their Neutral Tint constantly]. They do a Madder Brown that may serve your purposes. Also, try Cornelissens ranges in London.....they do some excellent ranges that are mostly unobtainable elsewhere. Good website, cornelissen.com
Cheers,
Alan

Brian, just had a brainwave. Try putting a saved search in ebay, and if somebody is flogging one you get an email - just a thought.
Good luck anyway - I know the feeling.

Thanks lads for your info,i'll give them both a go.In the meantime i bought some Linseed stand oil and i must admit it brought my old tube of Madder Brown back to life but they're's a possible down side,it might not go matt have to wait and see.
Thanks again
Brian
