Not totally finished but thought i would post him to let folk know i'm still painting!!!
I've posted 2 pictures to show just by changing the background colour how much this can change a figure using the same camera and lighting settings.
I painted this figure for my 40 year old son who happens to be a metal fabricator. He doesn't know yet but i hope he realises the figure looks nothing like him.Just a bit of FUN!
I'm thinking of adding a bit of stubble on his chin.

Absolutely fantastic bit of work here Brian! Would love to see a couple pictures from the sides and back to get a better idea of what this little guys helmet looks like. Thanks for sharing!

That is great! Very creative subject matter. I've been wanting to do a depression era sharecropper for years now. The working man makes good material.

I've got this one on my to do list; I really like the JMD busts, but this one is my fave. I too would carave off the symbol on the from of his overalls. Great job Brian, your son should very happy with this little gift

Another wonderful bit of work on an off the wall figure. I am sure Stephen will love it, in fact anyone would love it. Brilliant mate and good to see the brushes are still wet.

Stubble would add just that little bit extra mate!
Ref miniature photography, I recall there was a time not so long ago when this was mystery to you. So neat to see you have also solved this and these photos are brilliant, as evidenced by the guys saving them down for reference.

Keep on smilin'

I would only add to the accolades this piece have already recieved....Awesome!!!!

Brian,
An excellent finish to this bust.

I agree, removing the logo on the front of the overalls helps, but the paint finish is one of the best yet

Cheers

PS - posting two pics against different backgrounds was real smart thinking!

Brilliant piece,Brian.
Beautifully painted.
The light blue background works best I reckon.

The blue background is my favourite too,and it's more like the true colour tones.
My wife picked the yellow one, just goes to show how different her tastes are .Started me wondering, how the hell did she marry me?????
