Looking good David. I picked up this kit off ebay several months ago. Unfortunetly the ebay seller didn't tell me the horse's leg was broken. Looking forward to seeing the scene all come together

Guy

I've had this kit for over 10yrs, I have shied away due to the horse as my memory of my 1st attempt at a horse wasn't to good. Too my surprise the horse was fun to paint, the only issues I have is access points to the undersides. Do you ever pin the horse upside down by the saddle to paint the undersides? Also would you happen to have a good pic/closeup of a horses mouth.

Also back on the horse(project), so to speak after 3yrs. I felt the two shields I had for this project, the original and the replacement, were just not the right size. So will a few handy tools, circle cutter, hole punch, and a die hole punch, I made new shield in between the two sizes.

Back to this project... as I cleared my bench from the other 3yr old project. After looking at this again I realized the mounted figure needs a lot more help. So I'm adding some shape to the horse and some detail to the figure. For the base I stacked some plaster slabs and using some play-dough as filler, when dried out will use Aves putty to finish. Here where I'm at with the other figure too after day one.
