Ok so here's the more or less finished article. Just need to do some finishing off on the base. Quite happy with it in the end. It doesn't come across in the pictures but the railtrack is done with humbrol metalcote which can be buffed to a metalic shine when dry. Really worked well on the shiny part of the track in contrast to the rust effect I went for underneath. I got the tip from the Michigan Toy Soldier videos on youtube.
I hope these photos upload correctly for what they're worth! Cheers.

Thanks Andrew. I´ll give that a go.
Re the next project. I wanted to try out doing a bust. I bought the Arabian Marauder bust from Pegaso but then I thought I should practice in that scale so I picked up a couple of second hand busts cheap which I was going to have a go at.
However..... I´m now thinking a stepping stone in terms of scale might be a good idea and I really like the 75mm Nestor Makhno figure by Carl Reid...
Throw into that that Im moving house next month so not sure if I should start something big before that!
Incidentally, can anyone recommend some cheap, simple bases? I´ve been using Andrea bases and I don´t want everything I do to be on the same base.... Cheers.
