hi folks, although i`ve painted quite a few figures and busts i`m faced with something a little new to me. painting a figures legs and arms. everything i`ve done previously has had a full uniform or has been a bust(sounds funny, i know). so how does one paint fleshtones on the body verses on the face and hands only? do you start with a darker fleshtone than you might use on the face? any suggestions would be very appreciated. thank you, bill

Hi

Pedro & Marc are spot on, but just take a look at your own arms and hands, note they are much lighter on the inside but otherwise just go with what you do on the face.

Generally I also paint them in the same or similar mixes to those I'd use on the face, unless I'm representing pale skin that's usually covered by clothing, or sunburn on the arms for example.
